Habit of the week/Classroom leading morning announcements- video:

   Neilson- Habit 1- Be proactive

Next week- Suto- Habit 2- Begin with the end in mind

We might only have a few weeks left of school, but, the weeks are full of activities. We are not only closing academic gaps. We are also closing opportunity gaps. Both students and staff have worked really hard this year. In true Harrison style, the last few weeks of school are crazy busy. You have all summer to recuperate.

To help build understanding- Our children who practice and follow the Muslim faith, they will be ending Ramadan soon. Eid will begin at sundown on May 2nd, the Eid al-fitr that ends the fasting. We will have students absent on Monday, who will be celebrating this time with their families and friends.

We start the first week in May with teacher/staff appreciation week. You should have seen the faces at Fred Meyer as I wheeled the buggy around full of food. You will eat very well this week. As we always tell our kids, you can't say we don't feed you. Even if we don't have a lot, we always eat very well.

Monday- assorted chips, crackers, popcorn, and snacks- morning recess through lunch

Tuesday- assorted breakfast items- before school

Wednesday- Cafe Rio lunch buffet, plus Fred Meyer low carb tortillas and yummy desserts- a big thank you to covid money buying school items, so we could use building money to purchase this luxury

Thursday and Friday- left overs and yummy treats

Our teachers and staff are amazing. We have endured crazy sauce the last two years. Thought for today:
