Here is a video and article about homeless students. We have students in similar situations, though they may not be considered homeless. We have to be creative. As we've talked, we can't change the home experience. We can though change what we do at school so we can help all students.

At Risk Students

One item that is on the WISE tool for our indicators this year is pre and post assessments. Pre-assessments lead to mastery! Look for articles in your mailbox this week that address this item. We are all working on improving our star rating.

We haven't been given our monthly Friday food bag allotment, but I do have the new permission forms. We have about 35 students recommended, so I'll bring permission forms around for you to send home with those students. Even if we can't serve every one of those students, we probably could at least send one bag per family.
