Today is the first day of April. There is no April Fool's joke. We really are teaching and learning online and via learning packets. A big thank you to everybody who jumped in to help this week, including behind the scenes that others haven't seen. It's been a busy week and today is only Wednesday. We have a great staff with big hearts.

Please stay safe and healthy. Please reach out if you have questions or need assistance with anything.

Today is going to be a fun day with all the Dr. Seuss dress up outfits.

A big thank you to everybody who assisted with planning the Title 1 family night, leading events, welcoming families, and cleaning up. We had a great turn out. It was also nice to have our school pantry open so families could have food over the upcoming Spring break.

The big event today is our Spring Title 1 family night. We have yummy pizza, baskets with very generous community donations and people can purchase raffle tickets, fun learning activities in classrooms, and door prizes. Please help encourage families and students to attend.

We have our literacy coach on site today.

Please help remind students about Friday fun tomorrow, Dr. Seuss character dress up. Please also help remind students about student leaders selling Dr. Seuss tattoos.

This is a fun video. Toilet tissue has been difficult to keep on store shelves. This video shows how it is made and reminds that there is plenty for everybody:

Finding Common Ground

Pictures this week include our February leaders of the month, Dr. Seuss pictures from our preschool students, and happy students earning reward items. We have pictures from our Spring concert and Sharpen the Paw. The concert pictures are great to share so students who couldn't attend can view. The sharpen the paw pictures are great examples of kindness and mixed age groupings learning content together:

We've been hearing students talk about the coronavirus for a few weeks now. Please continue squashing unkind comments. This post is a great resource for how to address the virus with children. There are also two great videos to share with students.

One video has students asking questions that are common questions we are hearing from students. The second video is great for illustrating how to wash hands:

We have a fun day today.

We are ending the third quarter and that means Sharpen the Paw. We start at 1:05 pm.

We then have our Spring Concert. Doors open at 6 pm and the program starts at 6:30 pm. Students are excited to perform and this is a great way to welcome Spring, share musical talents, and involve families.

Please help remind students and families that Friday dismissal is at 12:45 pm.

This is a nice article from Mrs. Cowger at RC. Many of us talk about self care and pajamas by 5 pm. I know several also love education blogs and podcasts. There is a link at the top for those items as well. Remember to focus on you:
