Like last year, here is the suggested reading list for the summer. Just like we expect our students to be learners, so should we as educators. This is a list with some of the books I've read this year, and at least one should catch your eye. These are excellent resources for learning. They match our school goals and needs as well:

Summer Book List

Like past years, we can always use help the first day of Title 1 summer school.  If you are available Tuesday July 7th, we could use your help from 8:00-9:00 am. We have students from all 7 elementary schools, and students usually need assistance finding their classroom. It's a little bit on the crazy side the first day, but it's a great experience.

The staff blog won't have postings until August, but feel free to join the summer school blog:

Please remember to save a picture of yourself sharpening the saw during the summer, for a staff video in August.

Have a great summer with your friends and families!

Today is the last day of school! Dismissal is at 1:30, and all staff are encouraged to assist outside.

The retirement party will start at 3:30 in the library.

We have one last paper from Ms. Miller's 4th grade classroom, for June:

We had an excellent carnival on Tuesday! Thank you to everybody who helped not only the day of the carnival, but all the prep work ahead of time. We have such an awesome staff. We had happy smiling students, and great synergy from all of our staff members who assisted. We had certified, to classified, before and after school staff, PTA, and several parents. Even amongst all the fun, there were several students reading their new books and discussing their new videos from the give away. Readers and a carnival, awesome! The carnival was a great event to end the school year, and here are several pictures that would be great to share with students:
