I am super proud of our second language learners, huge growth:
We had fifth grade students registering for middle school on Tuesday. As I walked around and looked at the papers they were filling out, STEM was a common elective chosen. We integrate STEM daily with our students, provide a once a week block/specials class, and work hard to expose our students to STEM opportunities. As we work with second language students, students with special education services, students beating all the odds stacked against them in low income homes, and our marginalized students- STEM careers are a ticket to a very successful and positive future:
