I saw this article and thought it fit perfectly with situations we have had at our school this year. While the topic of identity and sexual orientation can be uncomfortable, the topic of inclusion and belonging are not. We want all of our students, staff, and families to feel included and welcome. Even if the ideas mentioned might appear more appropriate with middle school students, the reality is that our older students are absolutely experiencing the situations mentioned. The language and wording might be helpful with knowing how to communicate during situations that arise. As we often say, and as the article states- diversity is our greatest strength at Harrison:
