We talk often about closing opportunity gaps in order to close academic gaps, especially in a school that has higher poverty. Several nuggets for reflection are included in this short article. The article discusses the importance of striving for deeper learning, four areas to include with instruction that match what we are striving to include in our classrooms, and the importance for hands on learning.
