Please welcome Chrystine as she starts teaching in first grade. Thank you to Julie O. for being her mentor this year as she completed her student teaching.
Please remember to avoid the area around the computer lab due to testing. Alternative paths for lining up students outside after recesses, and before and after specials, is greatly appreciated.
Everybody gets the same amount of time in a day. We all have 24 hours in a day. How we use that time is up to each of us. Here is an article about investing in those items that we value and consider most important.

We have a few teachers with classroom blogs. They are posted on the left side of the school website. Some of you have expressed wanting to set one up for your classroom over the summer. Here is an article on some benefits of blogging. Communicating with families by involving them in the educational learning of their child is very powerful.
Blogging
Encouraging students to solve their own problems is important. Here is an article that discusses this topic. Do our students see difficult tasks as an obstacle, or as an opportunity? Do they know that where they are at now does not determine their future? We have students with heart breaking situations at home after they leave us, but their future is bright and full of opportunity. How about us as a staff? How do we look at challenges?
Creativity with Students
