After we have a long break, it is a transition back for both staff and students. We don't plan much the first week back. Use the time to review behavior expectations and practice procedures and routines.

For staff bingo, please pick up your card from the office. All staff are invited to participate. Please let adults know who are assisting in our building, as not everybody has school email. We have great prizes and students love helping adults with their card.

We have several great pictures from this last week. We recognized our November family of the month, had our monthly breakfast with books family activity, and we recognized our November readers of the month and mathematicians of the month.

Students have been learning games to play for recesses during their music and PE classes. It was awesome to see second grade students start a fun song and game all by themselves. They had learned this during their music class.

We have holiday art from library classes and an awesome picture from preschool that shows three year old students decorating their Christmas tree. 

Students are continuing to donate items for the annual food drive and there are great pictures of students synergizing during counseling lessons:

Returning to school after a long break can be hard for students, as well as adults. We don't have anything significant planned for the week of November 28th. Use the week to practice procedures, review behavior expectations, and focus on social-emotional skills. 

We kick off the holiday season on Friday December 2nd. December goes by quickly and it can be a really hard month for students. We have several fun holiday experiences being planned for December.
