Today is International Women's Day. We have students who face invisible barriers everyday and they are beating all the odds stacked against them. From poverty, to not having English as a first language, and even being female. One of the keys, and I know it is true in my own life, is education. Education can forever change a person, and for women, it can change an entire family. You change and impact lives in a positive way everyday. You matter.
This article has a nice video with the theme for this year's International Women's Day. Disruption, inclusion, our impact, education, technology, innovation, and more:
Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change

Please help remind students and families that dismissal tomorrow is at 12:45.
The school year is flying by and we are nearing the end of the third quarter. That means it is time for Sharpen the Paw. The time for the fun learning this afternoon is: 1:05-2:50.
This is a nice option to consider sending home with students for Spring Break:

A big thank you to everybody for encouraging and assisting students during Leadership Day on Tuesday. It was excellent.
We have a staff lighthouse/building leadership team meeting after school in room 10. Please let a rep know if you would like something added to the agenda.

A big thank you to fourth grade for leading and hosting Idaho Day on Monday. Students did a great job leading activities.
The big event today is our annual Leadership Day. No matter the task, students like practicing and preparing for their role. Thank you for being patient and accommodating as students practice in the morning. Every student has a part, from helping to decorate, greeting, or taking pictures. It's going to be a great afternoon.
